A principal objective of the Department is to provide high quality education in Language and Linguistics for our undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Staff research
Wherever possible, our students are involved directly in the ongoing state-of-the-art research undertaken by our staff members. In so doing, we develop in our students an enthusiasm for language and linguistic research as well as a set of skills - in quantitative analysis, writing, problem solving and collaborative work - that serve our graduates well in a broad range of professions after graduation.
