Kath is the Information Service Manager and has worked at the Centre since 1997. Her role involves supporting research staff in their work and, in particular, carrying out literature searching for systematic reviews and health technology assessments. 

She is a member of the InterTASC Information Specialists' Sub-Group (ISSG), a group of information professionals who support research groups within England and Scotland providing technology assessments to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). Kath is also one of the editorial team that maintains the InterTASC ISSG Search Filter Resource.

Kath and Carol Lefebvre from the UK Cochrane Centre regularly run a day long course for information specialists, Identifying the Evidence for Systematic Reviews.  Contact Kath directly for more information about content and future course dates.

Before working at CRD, Kath worked in a number of both special and academic libraries Merseyside Probation Service, the British Institute of Management and Manchester Business School.
