Nerys is responsible for a programme of technology assessment reviews undertaken on behalf of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to inform decision makers within the NHS, including NICE.
Nerys has extensive experience in the methodology and conduct of systematic reviews and technology assessments. Over a period of 10 years she has been actively involved in numerous reviews, on a wide range of topics. Examples include A Systematic Review And Economic Model Of The Clinical Effectiveness And Cost Effectiveness Of Interventions For Preventing Relapse In People With Bipolar Disorder and Etanercept, Infliximab and Adalimumab for the treatment of Psoriatic Arthritis.
Nerys represents CRD and the Centre for Health Economics on InterTASC, the national group of independent groups undertaking technology assessments on behalf of NICE. She is also a member of the Cochrane Adverse Effects Methods Group.
Nerys has a PhD in animal physiology and 20 years' experience in biological research, clinical trials and medical writing. Her research interests include the use of non-RCT and indirect evidence in systematic reviews and technology assessments and the systematic reviewing of adverse effects.Current research projects
