Claire is one of CRD's Technical Editors and part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for maintaining and developing DARE and NHS EED. They form a vital part of the database record production process and constitute the final quality check for accuracy of data and proofreading of records before they are loaded onto the databases. The role also includes responsibility for other quality processes required to keep the records current and consistent.
The role involves proof reading and on-line editing of abstracts for quality assurance purposes, liaising with abstract writers and updating records periodically to include additional related references comments, URLs and other data.
Prior to joining CRD in 2007, Claire was self-employed and her main client was York Professional Initiative. She has also worked in marketing research. Claire has a degree in Experimental Psychology and an MSc in Reading Language and Cognition.
