Darshan was appointed as Financial Co-ordinator at CRD in 1997 and brings several decades of experience in finance to the department. She provides financial expertise within the department, liaising with CRD staff, the University Department of Finance and external bodies.
Originally qualified as a chemist, Darshan has a 1st class BSc (Hons) in chemistry from Leeds University. Darshan spent several of her early working years employed by ICI (Fibres) Ltd. as a Research Scientist working on Terylene polymer research. During this time, her pioneering work on solid phase polymerisation was published as a Research Note.
