Computing at York

The Department of Chemistry has its own computer classroom, which is available for students to analyse the data obtained in the teaching labs and
also to prepare written reports.

In addition, IT Services provide full computing support across campus. Each college has at least one computer classroom, and there are 600 PCs provided
in 25 central locations across the University. Many classrooms are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Network access across campus has also includes
all on-campus study bedrooms, so that students who have their own computers in their rooms can access email and the web. IT Services also offers, in
conjunction with the University Library, a Student IT Training Programme.
