Wild Fund Studentship

The Chemistry Wild Fund Studentships are awarded as part of our competitive process for approved PhD projects. Other funding streams are EPSRC and Department of Chemistry studentships which are part of the same process, but listed separately due to differences in eligibility criteria.

  • Funding: Tuition fees and stipend for 3 years
  • Academic year: 2024/25
  • Open to: International (including EU) students
  • Qualification level: Postgraduate research
Applications for 2024/25 are closed.

Funded studentships include tuition fees, tax-free annual stipend at the standard research council rate and, funding for consumables/training. Studentships will be either 3 or 3.5 year duration, depending on the funder. Not all projects will be funded, candidates will be appointed via a competitive process.

Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) students only.

Open to students in the Department of Chemistry.

Open to International applicants including those from the EU. Applicants required to pay fees at the international rate are eligible for Chemistry Wild Fund and EPSRC funding.

Application deadline: Wednesday 3 January 2024, 3pm GMT

Submit an online PhD Application Form by midnight GMT on Wednesday 3 January 2024 including a CV, personal statement and the names and email addresses of two referees, at least one of whom should be an academic referee. 

You are strongly advised to contact your referees prior to submitting your application form to seek their agreement to provide you with a reference.
