Throughout your degree, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your practical midwifery skills in our Clinical Simulation Unit (CSU), and in real-life midwifery settings during your placements.

Our Clinical Simulation Unit is purpose-built to replicate the different clinical and hospital environments in which midwives operate. The CSU is equipped with two hospital bays, each with four beds, an intensive care unit and a bedsit.

Our CSU is a safe and supportive learning environment where you’ll use midwifery-specific equipment under the supervision of experienced academics. By working in our CSU, you’ll gain the confidence and practical midwifery skills you need when you enter the workplace.
