White Rose Arts and Humanities Doctoral Training Partnership
The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) is a Doctoral Training Partnership of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. The College is responsible for the distribution of AHRC-funded doctoral studentships for these universities.
WRoCAH funding includes a full fee waiver at the home rate, and a stipend at the UKRI rate. They have around 45 AHRC studentships that will be awarded through open competition.
You can make one application for funding through the open competition at either Leeds, Sheffield or York. Projects are welcome from all departments, not just Arts and Humanities, so long as the research falls within the remit of the AHRC.
Open to International (including EU) and UK (home) students.
To be eligible to apply for funding, you must have applied for a PhD programme at one of Leeds, Sheffield or York.
You must apply to your chosen department first in order to receive the 9-digit university number for your WRoCAH application. We recommend that you submit your application to York a minimum of four weeks before the closing date.
Application deadline: Wednesday 24 January 2024, 5pm GMT
The studentship application form and the Guidance Notes for Applicants are available from the WRoCAH website.
