How to mark policy
This policy sets out principles regarding standards in marking at the University and details how marking should be undertaken for taught student summative assessments, including anonymous marking expectations, types of marking processes, use of the full range of the marking scale and processing illegible scripts.
Feedback on summative assessment policy
This policy provides the University’s definitions of feedback on summative assessments for taught modules and programmes. It outlines requirements for aligning feedback practices with the assessment and feedback principles, communicating feedback processes, when feedback will be provided, in what format and by whom.
Penalties for summative assessments policy
This policy details when penalties must be applied for non-attendance at examinations, when assessments are submitted late or are not submitted. It also covers the management of assessments that are over the specified maximum length.
