The Workplace Health and Safety Office (WHSO) would like to remind you to consider your safety when working on campus including outside of normal working hours and/or lone working.

With the approaching quieter end-of-year period on campus, and the University closure days, you may find that you need to work on campus outside of normal working hours and/or lone working.

Colleagues should only work on campus outside of normal working hours when absolutely necessary:

  • Only low-risk work should be carried out;
  • If high-risk work is essential out-of-hours it should be risk-assessed;
  • Individuals should use SafeZone while on campus.

Please also consider the UoY advice for lone working.
