Awards will be decided based on a short academic essay. Choose a current issue relevant to politics or international relations and explain why you think it is important to study it. It can be something of particular relevance to your home country, or international politics more broadly. (Maximum word count: 400 words.)
Please send your essay to email@example.com by Friday 15th May, 2020, 23:59 BST.
Essays will be evaluated on the basis of clarity of argument, analysis and critical thinking, and structure. We would also like to see some engagement with relevant literature, such as books or news articles. Please also provide a bibliography of any sources used – this will not count towards your 400-word limit.
Awards will be announced by Friday 5 June, 2020.
Please note that the scholarship will be payable at the beginning of your second term of study, in Spring Term 2021, as a departmental tuition fee discount.
