A talk about research culture with Dr. András Bárány (University of Edinburgh)
Event details
András Bárány is the PI of a project on morphosyntactic variation and the role of analogy, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), at the University of Bielefeld. He received a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship in 2019, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme. He is one of three coordinators of a DFG-funded network with the focus on applicative alternations across languages. He is a member of the GLOW board, and was part of the EGG summer school committee for many years. He has worked in several research environments, SOAS, Leiden, Germany, and now Edinburgh. We are looking forward to an engaging conversation with András about leadership, research culture, and grant writing.
