The intersectionality and indivisibility of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) warrant inter-/cross-disciplinary academic enquiry and multi- agency / sectoral collaboration. If ever there was a time when the idiom “we cannot go it alone” held true, it is now! The success of any or all of the SDGs hinges on the strength of collaborative efforts, pooling of resources and leveraging of technical know how.
The private and public sectors, civil society, academia, NGOs must all come together to ensure that we realise the ambition enshrined in the various SDGs. Goal#17 in effect is the load-bearing goal of the SDGs.

Dr. Gale T C Rigobert is an intrinsically motivated, highly driven, energetic, passionate and innovative thinker who has combined over twelve years of experience in academia specializing in International Relations and ten years in political leadership and representation, to bring to fruition tangible solutions to complex socio-economic challenges.
Her passionate advocacy and well informed interventions have brought her front and centre stage in fora championed by the United Nations and its affiliate agencies. She has had significant and extensive involvement with IRENA, Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), UNESCO, CARICOM and SEforAll, with the latter seeing it fit to name her as one of seven sustainable energy leaders honored at a Seven for 7 celebration in 2018 in New York City, hosted by Sustainable Energy for All and Ashden.
On the international stage, her voice has become synonymous with that of the Global South and Caribbean SIDS in particular. In that regard she has held leadership positions and has played a critical role in organisations such as REAP, UNICEF, UNDP, WB, HAC, UN WOMEN and UN ECLAC.
She is the Principal consultant of Propel Ltd; serves on the advisory board of the World Association of Sustainable Development and is intimately involved in WASD’s work with Universities for SDGs.
She has recently joined the Interdisciplinary Global Centre for Development (IGDC) at York University as Visiting Fellow.
