Congratulations to our graduates with distinction
History graduates receive Honours with distinction
All undergraduate history students have the opportunity to take First Class Honours with Distinction in the final year. To get a starred first, students reading for a degree in single-subject History or a combined degree involving History must secure a minimum overall weighted mean of 75 per cent (rounded up) in marks contributing to the final degree award with a maximum of 12.5 per cent of credits below 65 per cent and subject to approval from the external examiners.
The following students graduated with a starred first in July 2014:
BA (Hons) in History
Alec Burt
Ashley Hibben
BA (Hons) in History and History of Art
Rosalind Hayes
BA (Hons) in History and Politics
Matthew Ward
Well done to them all! This is an outstanding achievement.
