Book prize for Prof Kate Giles

We are delighted to share that Prof Kate Giles has been awarded a Historians of British Art Book Prize!

Kate's prize was awarded for her recent monograph 'The Wall Paintings of Pickering Church: Their Discovery, Restoration and Meaning' (2022) in the category of exemplary scholarship on the period before 1600. Kate is an alumna of the History of Art Department and now a Professor in the Department of Archaeology at York.  Read more about the Historians of British Art Book Awards 2024.
