Congratulations to Jiyi Ryu, Adam Sammut and Valeria Viola on their recent publication success!

Adam Sammut, who is completing his PhD thesis on 'Rubens and the Dominican Church in Antwerp, 1571-1648' with supervision from Cordula van Wyhe, has published an article in Dutch Crossing: Journal of Low Countries Studies (September 2018), on 'Maarten van Heemskerck’s Eight Wonders of the Ancient World : Contesting the Image in an Age of Iconoclasm'.

Jiyi Ryu, who completed her thesis on 'The Relationship between Art and the British Empire: The Palace of Arts at the Imperial Exhibitions' under the supervison of Jason Edwards and who was awarded her doctorate this month, has published an article in Contemporary British History (October 2018) entitled “The Queen’s Dolls’ House within the British Empire Exhibition: Encapsulating the British Imperial World”.

Valeria Viola has published an article in Domestic Devotions in Early Modern Italy on 'Spaces for Domestic Devotion in the Noble Residences of Palermo in the Age of Catholic Reform'.  Valeria is currently working on her Phd thesis 'The devotional spaces connected to the noble mansions in Palermo and their surroundings' under the supervision of Helen Hills.
