Madeleine Pelling wins Patrick Nuttgens Award 2017

We are delighted to report that Madeleine Pelling, a second-year PhD student at York, has won the Patrick Nuttgens Award for 2017. The Award is presented annually by the York Georgian Society to support doctoral research in the Georgian period. Maddy has also recently been awarded a travel grant from the Lewis Walpole Library, Yale University, to continue her research into the eighteenth-century collection of Margaret Cavendish-Bentinck, Duchess of Portland, and her circle. Congratulations Maddy!
