New appointment: Karl Kinsella

Karl will join us in the autumn from the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Oxford. His research interests include Medieval Art and Architecture; the twelfth-century renaissance; early medieval pedagogy; Viking and Norse material culture; scientific diagrams; and nineteenth-century architecture, specifically the Arts and Crafts movement. (In case you're wondering, in this picture, Karl is the one on the right!)
