HRC Doctoral Fellowship Success for Nicola Sinclair

Posted on 17 July 2015

In this year's HRC Doctoral Fellowship finals, Nicola Sinclair was one of three candidates singled out by the judges for particular commendation.

‌All six finalists received a cash prize, and as the field was exceptionally strong this year, all finalists were awarded the title of HRC Doctoral Fellow.

Huw Halstead (History) and Cat Oakley (English) were also singled out by the judges for particular commendation.  The judging panel (Jane Grenville, Deputy-Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Students, David Duncan, Registrar and Secretary, and Kate Giles, Deputy Director, Humanities Research Centre) was extremely impressed both by the standard of the scholarship on display and by the poised, clear and engaging style with which candidates presented.

Congratulations to all the new HRC Doctoral Fellows!
