York Stained Glass Conservation Students Get More Than Honourable Mention

Posted on 20 February 2014

The latest edition of the ICOM Committee for Conservation newsletter highlights the contribution of York students to an important conference in Amsterdam

A major conference which brought together the ICOM-CC Ceramics and Glass Working Group, and the Forum of the International Scientific Committee for the Conservation of Stained Glass in Amsterdam in October attracted a large number of students.  Three students from York presented papers: Greer Ashman spoke on the particular issues involved in the conservation of opalescent windows, Katrien Mestdagh presented her paper ‘The Stained Glass Conservator Meets the 21st Century’, and Katie Harrison's work on 'The Silver Stain Myth: A Critical Consideration of Current Understanding and Research Opportunities' was selected for a 'Special Project Report'.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
