Claire Jones publishes new book

Posted on 18 August 2014

Claire Jones, a former PhD student and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the department, has just published a new book on sculpture.

Claire’s research on nineteenth-century French sculpture has recently been published by Ashgate, in a new book 'Sculptors and Design Reform in France, 1848 to 1895: Sculpture and the Decorative Arts'

Challenging distinctions between fine and decorative art, the book examines the importance of the sculptor-manufacturer relationship, and of the decorative, to the history of sculpture. For more details, please see the publisher's website.
