MA Partnership Studentships 2012

Posted on 12 June 2012

The Department of History of Art is delighted to invite applications for four partnership studentships, open to full-time MA in History of Art or pathway degree applicants commencing their studies in October 2012.

Following two very successful partnership studentships with the Friends of York Art Gallery / York Art Gallery and the Yorkshire Museum in 2011-12, the department is very pleased to confirm that both partners have renewed their studentship funding for full-time entrants to the MA in History of Art (or related pathway degrees) in 2012-13. In addition, the department is delighted to announce two further studentships, offered in conjunction with two new partners: Middlesbrough Institute for Modern Art (mima), and the National Railway Museum.

Each studentship offers a fee-waiver at the Home/EU rate, but applications are welcomed from all offer-holders (should an overseas applicant be successful, the award will take the form of a partial fee waiver, and the candidate will be expected to pay the remaining balance of his/her fees). In addition, the recipient of each studentship will be given the opportunity to work on a research project in partnership with the relevant donor, and to gain work experience through a volunteer placement.

The deadline for applications is 4pm (BST) on Friday 29th June. In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must already be holding an offer of a place to commence full-time study on the MA in History of Art (or related pathway degree) in October 2012. For full details on the studentship application process, please see our partnership studentship webpage.

If you are yet to submit a programme application, please do so by no later than Wednesday 20th June, and notify our Postgraduate Administrator that you are hoping to submit a partnership studentship application, so we can ensure your programme application is processed in time.
