Amanda Lillie has just been awarded an AHRC fellowship for an 18-month research project focussed around an exhibition at the National Gallery in London on "Architecture in Italian Renaissance Painting". The grant of £ 137 000 will enable Amanda and her colleagues at the National Gallery to create this trans-disciplinary exhibition which will be on display in Spring-Summer 2014. The project also includes a scholarly on-line catalogue, a session on "Visualising Architecture: Fictive Building c. 1300 - c. 1750" at the AAH University of Reading conference (April 2013), an international scholars' symposium at the National Gallery (May 2014), and a students' workshop (September 2014).
