Meet the Editors of Art History

Friday 13 May 2022, 4.00PM

Speaker(s): The new editorial team of Art History, including Dr Lucy Bradnock (Nottingham), Dr Fiona Anderson (Newcastle) and Samuel Bibby

Art History is an international, refereed journal that promotes world-class art-historical scholarship from across the globe. It publishes essays and critical reviews that foreground methodological self-reflexivity and highlights specific areas of concern and interest to the field through its special issue programme. It represents the diversity of the discipline at large and welcomes submissions from both established and emerging scholars. Art History stands at the forefront of disciplinary challenges and is a model of excellence for original and innovative research.

The new editorial team of Art History will be joining us to talk about submitting to the journal as well as reflecting on their own earliest publishing experiences when they were graduate students. Present will be Dr Lucy Bradnock (Nottingham) who will soon take over as Editor of the journal; Dr Fiona Anderson (Newcastle) who is Reviews Editor; Samuel Bibby who is Managing Editor and the new Deputy Editor who has just been appointed but is yet to be announced publicly (taking over from our very own Jeanne Nuechterlein who will stand down later in the year).

This is a really great opportunity to meet the editors and get a sense of what is needed to be published in the leading journal for the discipline in the UK.

All welcome!

Location: In-person. Treehouse of the Berrick Saul Building, Campus West, University of York
