DalesBus – sustainable transport into and around the Yorkshire Dales
Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company manages much of the weekend DalesBus network into and around the Yorkshire Dales. We’re a not-for-profit social enterprise, run entirely by volunteers and owned by Friends of the Dales, a registered charity.
We’re looking for additional commercial sponsorship and more volunteers to help us maintain and develop the DalesBus network. We’d particularly welcome help with marketing and promotion - at all levels from creating and implementing a marketing strategy as a volunteer director to designing and distributing promotional leaflets.

Grow Wild York - wellbeing and team building through nature-based volunteering
Grow Wild York is a not-for-profit organisation offering outdoor volunteering days that help your team reconnect with nature, each other, and a shared sense of purpose.
Growing an organic food forest and wildflower meadow; our team days are ideal for staff wellbeing, ESG targets, and meaningful team-building.

- Team volunteering days
- Activities include planting, harvesting, fruit tree pruning , learn about composting, rewilding and. Permaculture principles
- Boost mental wellbeing through mindful, hands-on tasks
- Support local food resilience and biodiversity (70% of the food we grow goes to the local Trussell Trust food bank)

Whitby Lobster Hatchery is a pioneering not-for-profit working to restore lobster populations and protect the region’s fishing heritage - aiming to release 100,000 juvenile lobsters into the sea each year.
