Blueberry Academy – inclusive employment opportunities for your business

The Blueberry Academy team provide specialist support for young people and adults with a range of support needs, promoting employability and independence. We offer Personalised Learning Programmes and Supported Internships for students aged 16-25 years, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)  We also offer Supported Employment services for adults funded through Social Care.  We deliver in York, Northallerton and Scarborough.

Business Services:

  • Inclusive Recruitment Support - our Supported Internship students are keen to learn on-the-job, and we have a team of trained job coaches who are able to support in the workplace and build the individuals' ongoing confidence and independence in their role
  • Tailored Work Placements - co-designed placements that match your business needs with students' individual strengths
  • Staff Training and Support - Help your team create inclusive, supportive environments for new starters

We have built strong and lasting partnerships with a wide range of local and national employers and are continuously developing new partnerships. By forming a Social Impact Partnership with us, your organisation can showcase its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and positive community investment.

With over a decade of experience supporting long-term unemployed adults and young people with additional needs, we understand how to create pathways that truly work. Our dedicated team of educators and employment specialists work hand-in-hand with employers to design meaningful roles and ensure that both individuals and businesses succeed.

Everyday Enable - practical disability inclusion for your business

Everyday Enable helps businesses become more inclusive through hands-on disability awareness training, access audits, and tailored guidance - delivered by professionals with lived experience of disability.

Our 3-hour training sessions are immersive, honest, and approachable, combining lived experience, legal insight, and practical advice. Training can be adapted to meet the needs of your business - whether that’s adjusting the length of the session, delivering online or in person, or focusing on specific topics such as hidden disability, neurodiversity, or sensory access. We also offer site visits and access audits with actionable reports to help you improve access for staff and customers alike.
