Isabella Paul awarded Godolphin Flying Start scholarship

Posted on 3 July 2018

The vision of the Godolphin Flying Start scheme is to provide horseracing with 'committed industry leaders working in existing and emerging thoroughbred markets contributing to the long-term success of the industry'.

The Godolphin Flying Start scheme is a two-year scheme management and leadership course that takes the twelve selected trainees around the world to gain further expertise in the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry.

Isabella will spend three months in Kildare, Ireland, before moving to Newmarket for a further two months, and then on to Kentucky, USA, from January to July 2019. In each country Isabella will attend top universities, take part in business and leadership workshops, attend thoroughbred horseracing, thoroughbred auctions, develop hands on skills for caring for thoroughbreds and go on visits to leading thoroughbred stables and stud farms where she will meet industry leaders.

This broad scope of thoroughbred industry education is not available through any other provider anywhere in the world, and the immersion in each country's industry gives incomparable practical experience to Godolphin Flying Start students, making them highly sought after when they graduate.
