York graduate wins Café Writers prize

Emily Willis, who graduated from the Deptartment of English and Related Literature in summer 2016, has been awarded the 2016 Café Writers Open Poetry Competition Norfolk Prize.

Emily, who co-founded the literary journal The Narrator whilst a student at York, joined the prestigious MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia in October 2016.   Her poetry has been published in The Looking Glass Anthology.  As part of her prize, she will participate in a poetry reading with competition judge Andrew Motion and the other prize winners in February.
