Shakespeare lives - in Lithuania!

Dr Erica Sheen has written the text for the 'Shakespeare Lives – in Lithuania' exhibition at the Seimas Palace, Vilnius.

Dr Erica Sheen, Senior Lecturer in Literature and Film and an expert in the European reception of Shakespeare, has written the text for the 'Shakespeare Lives – in Lithuania' exhibition, which opened on 14th December in the Seimas Palace in Vilnius.

Erica Sheen has worked with the British Embassy in Vilnius on the production of this exhibition, which combines a historical account of Shakespearean reception in Europe with documents and images from Lithuanian theatre, opera and film. 

The Seimas Palace is the home of the government of the Republic of Lithuania. The opening evening of the exhibition was attended by senior parliamentarians and government ministers.  In the New Year, the exhibition will tour Lithuanian universities.
