The York Graduate School is one of the UK's top postgraduate education centres in economics and econometrics. Our staff are strongly committed to graduate work. Here at York you will be working in a friendly, supportive, international environment. A postgraduate qualification from York is respected everywhere.
We operate a flexible entry and exit system. Depending on your background you can begin in one of several ways. For example, we offer a Summer Session in Microeconomics and Quantitative Skills which starts at the beginning of August and lasts for 7 weeks. You can take it as a free-standing course or you can use it to prepare for entry to a graduate school.
We offer scholarships for a number of our MSc courses, and the Department offers approximately 20 Teaching Fellowships. If you are taking the Health Economics programme there are also a number of scholarships available. If you are a citizen of the European Union, you can apply for a studentship from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). These and other opportunities are described in our Funding section.
