Lesley Stewart receives the 2023 Ingram Olkin Award

The Society for Research Synthesis Methodology (SRSM) presented CRD Director Lesley Stewart with the 2023 Olkin Award at its annual meeting in July.

The award named for Professor Ingram Olkin, a pioneer in the development of statistics for meta-analysis, is presented annually by SRSM “to recognize an individual who has made distinguished lifetime achievement in research synthesis methodology, which represents the highest honor bestowed by the Society in recognition of contributions to our field”. In presenting the award SRSM President Professor Terri Piggot highlighted Lesley’s contribution to IPD synthesis, service to SRSM, development of PROSPERO and her support and mentorship of others.

Lesley said “I am absolutely delighted to receive this award from SRSM. My research has mostly been done in collaboration with others and it is lovely to have our work recognized in this way”.
