Biography

Matt is a Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics in CRD, having joined in 2015. His research focuses on the development and application of methods in evidence synthesis and economic evaluation, and has worked across health technology assessments funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) HTA, Evidence Synthesis, and RfPB Programmes. As a member of the York Technology Assessment Group, Matt has contributed extensively to NICE's technology appraisal programmes. Matt is also a member of NICE Technology Appraisal Committee C.

Matt's other research interests include expanding the use of patient-level simulation approaches to decision analytic modelling, with a focus on integrating IPD synthesis into microsimulation models to optimise resource allocation and equity of outcomes in the NHS.
