Event details

How is creative activism (artivism) transforming human rights work across the globe?

This is the central question for our special day-long event, in collaboration with Amnesty International, CIVICUS, and Kairos.

We invite you to come and experience artivism firsthand through a focused Saturday program. The day will feature a panel discussion with artists and human rights practitioners, a hands-on zine-making workshop, and a mini-exhibition showcasing works from our two most recent commissioning calls: Conversations with Reports and We are (for) Civil Society.

Specific questions the collaborative project raised, and which we’ll be considering during the discussions and workshops, include:

1. Can the arts help shape innovative, inclusive and radical narratives that contribute to positive human rights change and counter trends that restrict rights?
2. What can human rights organisations learn from artists to create meaningful collaborations with the public?
3. How can artivism support the centring of well-being for individuals, organisations and communities?
