Event details

Dr Ioana Cismas, Co-Director of the Centre for Applied Human Rights, will participate in the event ‘From Noma to Health for All: Addressing the imperative of the most neglected communities’.

Dr Cismas will speak alongside noma advocates and survivors, as well as representatives of Member States, the World Health Organisation and Médecins Sans Frontières.

Drawing from ongoing research with Alice Trotter at the Centre for Applied Human Rights, Dr Ioana Cismas will discuss the importance of integrating human rights-based approaches to addressing the prevalence, incidence and lived experiences of noma.

The event will be held both in-person and online, beginning at 8.30am CEST/ 7.30am BST.
