This four-week course helps SME leaders and advisers navigate the increasingly complex ESG and sustainability reporting landscape. By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and prioritise the sustainability impacts, risks and opportunities most relevant to your organisation.
- Design and implement a proportionate sustainability governance framework suited to your organisation’s size and operations.
- Calculate a robust Scope 1 and 2 carbon baseline and identify relevant Scope 3 emissions and hotspots where appropriate.
- Understand nature-related dependencies and impacts and explore practical assessment approaches, including elements of the TNFD LEAP framework where relevant.
- Recognise and reduce the risk of greenwashing in sustainability claims and reporting.
- Develop a draft sustainability report aligned with the EU Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard and responsive to common customer, lender and supply-chain information requirements.
