Course overview

The University of York’s Strategic Leadership Programme offers a practical and focused development experience for leaders who want to strengthen how they think and operate at a strategic level. Over seven workshops, participants will examine current leadership research and theory, real organisational challenges, and skills that support modern leadership practice, including communication, coaching, building resilience, encouraging innovation, and strategic execution.

The programme provides time and space to reflect on your own approach, learn from peers, and apply ideas within your organisation. Over the course of seven modules, participants will develop greater clarity in their leadership identity, a sharper strategic mindset, and a set of evidence-based methods they can use to influence outcomes and support deliberate change.  Participants will also develop a powerful professional network, and be supported to collaborate in developing real-world innovations. 

Accreditation

Upon course completion, you will receive a University of York branded certificate to confirm your attendance and completion of the York Strategic Leadership Programme.
