Event details
Join the Department of Environment and Geography and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s marine restoration team for a 30-minute seagrass “seed bombs” making workshop.
These seed bombs will be planted at Spurn National Nature Reserve, on the East Yorkshire coast, in early spring to encourage the meadows to thrive once again. Seagrass is an important habitat for many marine species and helps in the fight against climate change by absorbing lots of carbon dioxide from the water.
The 30 minute sessions will split up into the following times:
- 2pm to 2.30pm
- 2.30pm to 3pm
- 3pm to 3.30pm
- 3.30pm to 4pm
This workshop will take place in person, and bookings will be taken via the Google Form.
