It's time to renew your parking permit

Do you use a University of York staff parking permit?

If you do then please be aware it is time to renew your permit. Current permits are set to expire at the end of March 2020. Due to GDPR we are not able to retain your information to allow us to automatically renew your permit, therefore this must be done by you.

In order to continue to park your vehicle on campus, you will need to renew it by applying for a new permit.

Here’s how to apply

Log into the online parking permit system https://parking.york.ac.uk/acct/UniversityOfYork/ using the email address and password you used when you first created an account. Please note, this may not be your University of York log in details.

Click on “Permit Application - apply for a permit”. Select the correct permit category and permit type (most people will require a staff permit), then simply check and complete the information in the form.  You will receive an email notification to inform you whether your permit application has been approved or declined. If approved there will be nothing further to do and your permit will then be valid from 1 April 2020. If declined the parking permit team will contact you separately. 

I don’t want to renew

If you do not wish to renew your permit, you need to let us know by emailing parking-permits@york.ac.uk 

The University of York is committed to encouraging more sustainable means of travel wherever we can, and we are pleased to offer a £25 shopping voucher for anyone who chooses not to renew their permit by 30th April 2020. In order to claim your voucher, please complete the form here. 

If any of your team do not have online or email access they can visit the Information Centre for further assistance with their renewal.
