York Robot Lab in Science and Engineering Week

Professor Jon Timmis and Sophie Alexander from YRL were involved in a series of talks at a school in the East Riding of Yorkshire during science and engineering week. As part of Science and Engineering week, the school were studying food and agriculture. The children studied robots, how they sense and move and how robots could be used on a farm. They then undertook a design task to design robots that could be used on a farm, designs ranged from egg collection robots, to vegetable planting to sheep shearing robots.
