Public Health: Making Community Nurses Count

This research project was based in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York. It aimed to explore nurses' perceptions of public health, what public health activity they are involved in and what barriers and obstacles they faced in achieving their full potential in this area of work. Community nurses involved in this research included: district nurses, school nurses, practice nurses and health visitors. The main methods of data collection included in depth interviews and observation.
