Research across the Department of Social Policy and Social Work

The Centre for Housing Policy is part of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the University of York. A range of undergraduate and postgraduate/graduate courses are offered, as well as opportunities for doctoral research. There are two other research units within SPSW, the Social Policy Research Unit and the Social Work Research and Development Unit.

The Role of CHP Research within the Alcuin Collaboration

The Department of Social Policy and Social Work is involved in the Alcuin Collaboration. This is a network of academic departments and research centres at the University of York concerned with teaching, research and consultancy in health and public policy. Common themes for all its members include education and training, the collection and analysis of data as evidence for policy makers, effective dissemination of research, and the conduct of primary and secondary research. The Alcuin Collaboration also involves the new Hull York Medical School
