This event opened up conversations between practitioners, academics and policymakers working in the fields of human rights, social work, development work, youth & community work and public health about how to define and advance social justice.
What do we have in common? What can we learn from each other? How do practitioners involved in these fields identify themselves in relation to social justice? What is the relationship between practitioners and the state? What do we mean by independence, participation, empowerment, dignity, equality, solidarity, justice, accountability?
