Posted on 22 April 2016

We are delighted to be welcoming Teresa Kittler as a new staff member to the department!

Teresa comes to the department from the British School at Rome, where she has been Rome Fellow (2015/16).  Her research focuses on artistic practices from 1945 to the present day, specifically Italian postwar art and ‌primarily on issues related to art and the environment and questions related to gender.  Since completing her PhD at UCL, she has worked as Assistant Curator for the 10th Gwangju Biennale (Burning Down the House, 2014). She is currently working on a book project provisionally titled Habitats: Art and the Environment in Italy, 1945–1975 and over the course of the year her writing will appear in edited volumes on Marisa Merz, Carla Lonzi and Bruno Munari.

Teresa will be joining us in the Autumn term.
