The Question of Lowry

Over the past year or so, T J Clark and Anne Wagner have been curating the first London retrospective of the work of L S Lowry since his death in 1976: it will open at Tate Britain on June 24, 2013 under the title Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life.

In this seminar, they will offer an advance view of the show's main arguments, and address some of the central strategies the show will deploy.
