Public Lectures Committee

The Public Lectures Committee oversees the organisation of Open Course lectures and distributes funding from the Distinguished Visitors Fund to support departments, colleges and student societies in the organisation of lectures. It is run by the Communications Office, and does not report to other University committees.

The committee comprises: academics from science, arts and social science departments; staff from the Centre for Lifelong Learning and the Communications Office; a YUSU representative, and lay members from the University of the Third Age (U3A) and the Workers' Educational Association (WEA).
