For alumni

Goodricke College is keen to establish and maintain links with all our alumni for three reasons:

  • We greatly enjoy hearing about your successes after physically leaving the College and the University behind.
  • We are aware that many Goodricke graduates remain interested in their College and want to hear the latest news and developments.
  • We remain committed to our belief that all Goodricke students should be regarded as valued members of the College for life.

Campus development

Things have changed drastically for the College in the last few years. Our 40th Anniversary celebrations were a roaring success and it was wonderful for those associated with Goodricke College (staff, current students and former students) to come together over one long weekend in May 2009 to share memories and look towards our exciting future.

Sadly, the old site of Goodricke College (including the infamous C Block), on Heslington West, has now been adopted for use by other Colleges. Leaving this site behind in June 2009 may have been difficult for staff and students alike, but we are extremely confident that our fantastic new location on Heslington East will help to create even more memories in the future.

In addition to almost doubling the number of resident students in the 2009/10 academic year, we now boast the very finest accommodation in the University. These facts, coupled with the legendary 'Goodricke spirit', will continue to ensure that we remain the most vibrant College at the University of York!

Events

Alumni are always welcome to attend College events.  Please keep us up to date with your contact details so we can be in touch with events specifically for Goodricke alumni.  Please also contact the College Dean, Paul Summers (paul.summers@york.ac.uk), if you have any ideas for specific reunion events.

Keep in touch

We hope your memories of Goodricke College are good ones. Please do get in contact with the Provost (Jane Clarbour) or College Administrator (Auriel Hamilton) if you would like to share them with us.
