Top movie executive joins School as Honorary Professor

Josh Berger, CBE, former head of Warner Bros in the UK, Ireland and Spain, has been appointed as an Honorary Professor of the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.

Josh Berger, CBE, former head of Warner Bros in the UK, Ireland and Spain, has been appointed as an Honorary Professor of the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.


At Warners, Josh was responsible for initiating and overseeing the iconic Harry Potter franchise, including the production of the hugely successful feature films, the establishment of Leavesden studios and the spin-off stage play. Josh is also a former Chair of the BFI, a Member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Creative Industries Council and the British Screen Advisory Council; a Council Member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art; a Director of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Chair Emeritus of Chickenshed Theatre Trust. Josh’s appointment is for an initial three-year period.
