The Alcuin Research Resource Centre (ARRC) was established through funding from the Wellcome Trust/ESRC Joint Infrastructure Fund.

It embodies the concept of a multidisciplinary collaborative support infrastructure for researchers involved in health and social sciences research and provides a range of specialist labs, facilities and services for undertaking primary research and analysis, including space for  short-term visiting researchers.

It is the home of York’s ESRC Doctoral Training programme, part of the wider White Rose Doctoral Training Centre, and hosts research students associated with the programme.
