The Social Change Catalyst Blog for March 2026, comes from Mark Freeman, Professor of Finance and the Associate Dean (Partnerships, Engagement, and International) for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of York
Mark's blog titled, 'Profit for Social Change', explores the relationship academics have with for-profit businesses and why, while researchers and universities may find it challenging to undertake research with this sector, failing to do so is a potentially huge, missed opportunity to drive real social change.
The Social Change Catalyst blog is a new blog series which seeks to share ideas and answer the big questions on social change for public good.
